Our Approach
Galvanized Education Partners provides Improvement Implementation Support to schools and districts aligned to a comprehensive framework for high-quality Tier 1 instructional leadership. The framework is grounded in an approach to Tier 1 instruction focused on 3 Focus Areas: 1) Curriculum & Planning, 2) Instruction & Pedagogy, and 3) Assessment & Data
Within each of these 3 Focus Areas, Galvanized ED works with schools and districts to 1) develop systems and structures to drive improvement (i.e. Focus Area 1: tools to evaluate implementation of HQIM; Focus Area 2: development of comprehensive Vision of Instruction; Focus Area 3: design of assessment strategy and calendar), 2) establish clear and realistic teacher expectations/guidance around planning, instruction, and analysis of student data/work, and 3) strengthening the capacity of school/district leaders to support teachers across the 3 Focus Areas via Instructional Leadership Key Drivers. The 4 primary Instructional Leadership Key Drivers that GEP builds the capacity of school/district leaders to implement include:

Design and facilitation of high-quality professional development (to build teacher capacity across all 3 Focus Areas),

Facilitation of effective Collaborative Planning (i.e. facilitation of unit and lesson internalization, either in PLCs or 1-1, to build teacher capacity in Focus Areas 1)

Delivery of effective Instructional Coaching (via Observation/Feedback, Real-Time Coaching, or Modeling, to build teacher capacity in Focus Areas 2)

Facilitation of effective Collaborative Data Analysis (i.e. deep analysis of student data and student work, either in PLCs or 1-1, to build teacher capacity in Focus Areas 1)
Through a focus on these 4 Instructional Leadership Key Drivers, aimed at strengthening teachers’ capacity and confidence to plan/internalize high-quality lessons (Focus Area 1), deliver high-quality instruction (Focus Area 2), and intentionally monitor student learning via analysis of data and student work (Focus Area 3), Galvanized Education Partners helps schools and districts improve the quality of Tier 1 instruction to ensure that students achieve success.
